- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Met the butter in a sauce pan over low heat.
- Whisk in the flour until the mixture darkens for about 2 minutes.
- Slowly pour in milk and continue to mix until the milk is a thick gravy consistency.
- Mix in salt and cheese.
- To thin mixture, add more milk.
- To thicken mixture, add more cheese.
